Day of Silence is when students nationwide take a vow of silence to raise awareness on biased-based bullying that takes place in their schools.
To raise awareness on bullying our youth along with members of the UCCS student group SPECTRUM will be taking a vow of silence on the steps of city hall. We will be Breaking the Silence through dance and sharing personal testimonials of overcoming bullying.
Between now and the event, one of our most talented youth, Vincent will be teaching everyone a dance for flash mob planned for the event. Every Sunday at Inside/Out Youth Services at 12pm we will be practicing a dance for the event.
Our next scheduled dates are as follows:
Sunday, March 30 12pm – 2pm
Sunday, April 6th 12pm – 2pm
Wednesday, April 9th 4pm – 7pm
Friday, April 11th 3pm
