Inside/Out will once again be offering scholarship opportunities to Youth who are planning to attend college or technical school this upcoming fall. Inside/Out Youth Services will reward 3 scholarships, one for $2,000 and 2 for $1,000, based on academic merit, LGBTIQ involvement, and a successful personal interview.

Eligibility for the IOYS Scholarship requires the following:

  • Must be a high school graduate, possess a GED certificate or be a high school senior in school year 2013/2014.
  • Include a letter of acceptance from an accredited college, university or technical/vocational school.
  • Must participate in a personal interview to be conducted with the scholarship committee. Interviews will take place August 1-14 and it is the responsibility of the youth applicant to schedule an acceptable time slot to conduct the interview. (A face to face interview is preferable but interview via Skype or phone is also permitted.)
  • Include a copy of your high school diploma or GED certificate.

Inside/Out will be holding  scholarship workshops on June 10th and June 24th at 5:30 during group for all those interested in learning how to effectively apply for  scholarships. The Workshops will focus on; proficiently answering application questions, presenting scholarship resources to the Youth, self presentation, and answer any other questions the Youth may have.

All applications are due on July 31st at 11:59 P.M. anything afterwards will not be accepted.
